1. Thermometer; 2. Pressure gauge; 3. Gauge tap (closed); 4. Discharge pipe; 5. Power steering tank; 6. Discharge pipe; 7. Pump; 8. Gauge adapter
1. Disconnect the pressure connection from the pump and connect the pressure gauge with adapter set as shown.
2. Bleed the hydraulic system, then start the engine.
3. Turn the steering wheel from lock to lock several times and check the temperature of the working fluid using a thermometer. Nominal value: ≈50°С.
4. Increase the engine speed to 1000 rpm.
5. Completely close the pressure gauge cock and check the set pressure of the pressure reducing valve. Rated value: 6.6-7.3 MPa.
Attention: do not keep the pressure gauge valve closed for more than 10 seconds.
6. If the pressure is out of specification, repair the pump.
7. Remove the pressure gauge and connect the pressure port to the pump. Hollow screw tightening torque: 55-65 Nm
8. Bleed the booster's hydraulic system.
