2. Open the special cover (A) under the seat cushion.

3. Disconnect the plug (B) from the fuel pump.

4. Start the engine and wait until the fuel from the fuel line is used up.
5. After the engine stops, turn the ignition key to the OFF position, then disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.
Note: Before disconnecting the fuel lines, make sure there is no pressure in the fuel line.
6. Disconnect the fuel supply hose from the fuel line.
7. Install a tee between the fuel supply hose and the line.
8. Connect the fitting to the tee.
9. Connect a hose with a pressure gauge to the fitting.
10. Connect the fuel supply hose to the tee.
11. Connect the negative terminal to the battery.
12. Apply battery voltage to the fuel pump terminals. Check for fuel leaks at the connection points.
13. Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.
14. Connect the wiring to the fuel pump.
15. Connect the negative terminal to the battery.
16. Start the engine and check the fuel pressure on the pressure gauge. Normal pressure is 350 kPa.
17. After stopping the engine, check the drop in fuel pressure. The pressure should be maintained for at least 5 minutes.
Note: If pressure does not hold, the fuel line should be checked for leaks.
18. Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.
19. Disconnect the plug from the fuel pump.
20. Start the engine and wait until the fuel from the fuel line is used up.
21. Disconnect all special equipment. Connect the fuel supply hose to the line.
