
Procedure
1. Disconnect the pressure hose from the power steering pump. Connect a special measuring tool between the disconnected pressure hose and the pump as shown in the figure.
2. Bleed the power steering hydraulic drive, then start the engine and turn the steering wheel several times until the fluid temperature rises to 50°C.
3. Increase the engine speed to 1000 min⁻¹.
4. Close the special tool valve and measure the pressure. Fluid pressure generated by power steering pump: 1209-1280 psi.
Warning! Do not keep the special tool valve closed for more than 10 s.
5. Remove the special tools and connect the discharge hose to the pump, tightening the hose union nut to the required torque. Tightening torque: 55–65 Nm.
6. Bleed the air from the power steering hydraulic drive.
