1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the driver's airbag.

3. Unscrew the steering wheel mounting nut.

4. Apply alignment marks to the end of the steering shaft and the steering wheel and remove the steering wheel using a puller.
5. Remove the screws and steering column covers.
6. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the multifunction switch.
7. Remove the three bolts and the multifunction switch.
8. Remove the four bolts and lower crash protection.
9. Remove the five bolts connecting the steering shaft and the universal joint.
10. Remove the bolts and the steering column and shaft together with the universal joint.
