Procedure
1. The force required to turn the steering wheel and return the wheel to its original position should be the same as that required to make moderate turns and U-turns.

2. When the steering wheel is turned 90° and held in this position for several seconds while the vehicle is moving at 35 km/h, the steering wheel should return to within 20° of the neutral position after release.
Caution: If the steering wheel is turned very quickly, the initial effort required to turn the wheel may be increased. This is a normal phenomenon, especially when the engine is idling, since the pump performance is somewhat reduced.
