Warning:
- The child restraint system must be installed in the rear seat of the vehicle. The installation of a child or infant seat in the front passenger seat is prohibited.
- In the event of an accident and the deployment of the passenger airbag, this could result in serious injury or death to a child traveling in an infant or child seat. Therefore, install the child seat only in the back seat of your vehicle.
- Because the child seat and seat belt can become very hot in the sun in a parked and locked vehicle, check the temperature of the upholstery and metal parts of the seat belt before placing a child on it.
- If there is no need for a child seat, place it in the luggage compartment or secure it with a standard seat belt so that it is not thrown forward during heavy braking or an accident.
- If the height of the child does not allow placing it in a child seat, seat it in the back seat and fasten it with the standard seat belt with shoulder and lap straps. Never allow him to occupy the front passenger seat.
- Always make sure that the shoulder strap of the regular lumbar-shoulder belt runs along the middle of the child's shoulder and in no case is located on the neck or behind the back. For a more correct position of the shoulder strap, place the child closer to the middle of the seat. The lumbar strap of the lumbar-shoulder belt should be placed as low as possible on the child's hips and fit as closely as possible to them.
- If you are unable to properly fit the seat belt to your child, we recommend installing a standard booster cushion in the rear seat of your vehicle to ensure a higher seating position for the child and a proper seat belt fit.
- Never let your child stand up or kneel on the seat.
- Never use a carrycot or child seat that is attached to the back of a car seat: they will not provide adequate protection in an accident.
- It is unacceptable to take a child in your arms while the car is moving. This can cause serious injury to the child in an accident or sudden braking. When a child is placed in the arms of an adult, he loses all means of protection in case of an accident, even if the adult is wearing a seat belt.
- If the child restraint system is not properly secured, the risk of serious injury or death to the child in an accident is greatly increased.
Installing a child seat in the center rear seat

In the center seat of the rear seat, the child seat is secured with the standard seat belt as shown in the illustrations. After installing the child seat, make sure that it is securely fixed by the seat belt by pulling the seat back and forth and in both directions.
If the seat moves, tighten the seat belt. After that, hook the safety belt (if it exists) child seat hook and tighten the strap to secure the seat. Install the child seat in strict accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Installing a child seat on the outboard rear seats
On the side back seat
To install a child seat on the side of the rear seat, pull the standard seat belt out of the reel. Install the child seat, fasten the seat belt and allow the reel to pick up any slack. Make sure that the lap strap fits snugly against the child seat and that the shoulder strap is positioned so that it does not rest on the child's head or neck. After installing the child seat, make sure it is secure by trying to move the seat in all directions.
If you need to tighten the seat belt, take up the slack by pulling the belt towards the spool.
Note:
- Before installing a child seat, read the manufacturer's instructions that came with it.
- If the seat belt does not function as described above, have the system checked immediately by an authorized Hyundai dealer.
Warning: The installation of any child restraint system in the front passenger seat is not permitted. In the event of an accident that deploys the passenger airbag, this could result in serious injury or death to the child in the infant or child seat. Install child restraint systems only in the rear seat of the vehicle.
Using a child restraint system with a tether
It is strongly recommended that young children or infants be transported only in a child or infant seat. Such a seat must be sized for the height of the child and installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. It is also recommended to install a child seat in the back seat of the car, which will greatly increase the safety of the child. Your vehicle is equipped with three child seat tether hook attachment lugs for installation.

Installing a child seat with system «ISOFIX» and safety belt
System «ISOFIX» allows you to install the child seat in the usual way, which does not require it to be secured with a standard seat belt. This system provides a safer and more secure position of the child seat, as well as its easier and faster installation.
There are two ISOFIX mounts on both sides of the rear seat, and eyelets in the luggage compartment for attaching a safety belt. The child seat attaches to the attachment points until it clicks (check that the lock is secure by pulling on the seat), after which the safety belt is attached to the corresponding eyelet in the luggage compartment. The child seat must be installed and used in accordance with the instructions supplied with the ISOFIX seat.
Note: The installation of an ISOFIX child seat is only permitted if it is approved for this vehicle in accordance with ECE^44. Before installing an ISOFIX seat purchased for another vehicle, check with your authorized dealer to see if it is suitable or recommended for your Hyundai vehicle.
Installing a child seat

2. Attach the tether strap hook to the eyelet and tighten the strap to secure the seat as described in section «Attaching a child seat with a safety belt».

Do not install a child seat «ISOFIX» in the middle of the back seat, trying to use the mount «ISOFIX» not on purpose. When installing a child seat in the middle of the rear seat, the fastening strength «ISOFIX» in the event of an accident, it may not be sufficient to hold it securely, it may break, causing serious injury or death.
- Do not attach more than one child seat to one tether eyelet or one lower child seat anchor. Under excessive load, the mounting or safety mount may break, causing serious injury or death.
- Install the seats «ISOFIX» or seats compatible with the attachment system «ISOFIX», only in the places provided for this, shown in the figure.
