Contents: Periodic inspection of seat belts ⇓ Keep seat belts clean and dry ⇓ Replacing seat belts ⇓
It is prohibited to disassemble or make any changes to the seat belt system. In addition, it is necessary to ensure that the belts themselves and their fastening parts are not damaged by the hinged joints of the seats, doors, or are not subject to other damage.

Warning: When moving the rear seatback to the upright position, be careful not to damage the seat belt webbing or buckle. Make sure the seat belt strap or buckle is not pinched or caught in the rear seat.

Periodic inspection of seat belts

All seat belts should be checked periodically for damage of any kind. Damaged system parts must be replaced as soon as possible. Seat belts must be kept clean and dry at all times.

Keep seat belts clean and dry

Seat belts must be kept clean and dry. Contaminated belts can be cleaned with a neutral soap solution and warm water. The use of bleaching, dyeing, strong detergents or abrasive materials to clean belts is prohibited, as it may damage them or reduce their strength.

Replacing seat belts

The seat belt or belts must be replaced as a whole if the vehicle has been involved in an accident. This replacement is mandatory even if the belts do not have any visible damage. For more information on seat belts, contact your authorized Hyundai dealer.
