If the shoulder strap is too close to the neck, the protective effect of the belt is reduced. The shoulder strap should not be located on the neck, but should pass along the middle of the shoulder from the side of the door and along the chest.
To adjust the height of the upper belt anchor, set the anchor to the desired position by moving it up or down. Pull up on the mount to move it. To move it down, press it down while pressing the release button.
When the button is released, the mount will lock into position. After that, make sure that the fastening lock is secure by pulling on the belt.
Warning:
- The adjustable seat belt anchor must be locked while the vehicle is in motion.
- Incorrect seat belt height adjustment can reduce the effectiveness of the seat belt in an accident.
