The height of the front seat belt can be adjusted to one of 4 positions.
If the height of the seat belt is too close to your neck, the belt will not provide you with maximum protection. The shoulder portion of the belt should be adjusted so that it passes across the chest and in the middle of the shoulder, which is closer to the door than the neck.
To adjust the height of the belt anchor, press the seat belt height locking button and move the belt anchor down or up to the desired position that ensures the belt makes firm contact with your shoulder. To lock the belt anchor, release the locking button. After you release the locking button, try moving the seat belt anchor down or up to make sure the anchor is securely locked in that position.
Warning:
- The seat belt fastening must be secured while the vehicle is moving.
- Incorrect adjustment of the seat belt height may reduce the effectiveness of the seat belt in the event of a traffic accident (crash).
