4. To secure the seat, fasten the tie-down loops under the seat back to the headrest supports of the front driver's and front passenger's seats.

5. To return the rear seat back and cushion to the upright position, repeat these operations in reverse order.

6. After returning the seat back to the upright position, make sure it is securely locked by rocking the seat back forward and backward by its top.

Warning:
  • When returning the rear seatback to the upright position after the seat has been folded, check that the seat belt is working properly,
  • When returning the rear seatback to the upright position after the seat has been folded, be careful not to get your fingers or feet caught,
  • The forward-folding rear seat cushion and forward-reclining rear seatback are designed to allow you to carry more luggage in the vehicle. Do not allow anyone to sit on the luggage while the vehicle is moving. This is not a proper seating position, and when the rear seatback is folded down, the use of seat belts is impossible.
  • No objects should be placed higher than the front seat backs. This could cause serious or even fatal injuries in the event of sudden braking or an accident. In the event of sudden braking, they could be thrown forward and damage the vehicle or cause injury.
  • When returning the rear seatback to the upright position after the seat has been folded, be sure to put the head restraints back in place. Head restraints play an important role in the safety of passengers in a rear impact. Without head restraints, there is a greater chance of serious or fatal injuries in a rear impact.
