Adjusting the height of the rear seat backrest
1 - Backrest tilt lever
To recline the rear seatback, push the rear seatback recline lever toward the head restraint and release it when the seatback reaches the desired position.
After tilting the backrest to the desired position, always check that it is securely locked in place.
Note: Adjusting the angle of the rear seat backrest should be done while standing.
Adjustable headrests
1 - Retainer
Head restraints provide you with protection for your neck area. To raise the head restraint, pull it up. To lower the head restraint, press it down while pressing the lock.
Warning:
- To reduce the risk of injury in the event of a collision, adjust the height of the head restraints so that the center of the collision is as close as possible to eye level. If there is a cushion or something similar between your back and the seat back, this may increase the distance between your head and the head restraint and the effectiveness of the head restraints in an accident will be reduced.
- It is dangerous to drive a car with improperly adjusted head restraints or without them at all. Be sure to check that the head restraints are installed and adjusted correctly. Otherwise, you may receive a serious injury to the neck area in a traffic accident (crash).
