Removal
1. Remove the ignition key from the lock.
2. Before starting work, disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least three minutes.
3. Disconnect the connectors of the driver's airbag (DAB), passenger airbag (PAB), side airbag (SAB), curtain airbag (CAB) and seat belt pretensioner (SPT).
4. Remove the floor console.
5. Pull the lock (1) forward, then press the lock (2) of the lever and pull the lever (3). Disconnect the air bag control module connectors (A and B).

6. Unscrew the three mounting bolts and remove the block.
Note: Removal and installation of the SRSCM must be performed with the ignition switch in the OFF position because the SRSCM has a rollover detection function. The side airbags (SAB), curtain airbags (CAB) and seat belt pretensioners (STP) may deploy if the SRSCM is shaken up and down or left and right with the ignition switch in the ON position.
Installation
1. Remove the ignition key from the lock. Publishing House "Monolith"
2. Before starting work, disconnect the negative cable from the battery and wait at least three minutes.
3. Secure the SRSCM unit with the mounting bolts.
Note: Tightening torque: 6.8~9.2Nm.
When replacing the SRSCM after a collision, use new mounting bolts.

4. Connect the SRSCM harness connector.
5. Install the heater ducts and floor console.
6. Connect the connectors of the driver's airbag (DAB), passenger airbag (PAB), side airbag (SAB), curtain airbag (CAB) and seat belt pretensioner (SPT).
7. Connect the negative battery terminal.
8. After installing the SRSCM unit, check that it functions correctly.
Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position, the SRS indicator light should come on for approximately 6 seconds and then go out.
Caution: The SRSCM detects that the vehicle has rolled over. The side airbags (SAB), curtain airbags (CAB) and seat belt pretensioners (SBP) may deploy if the SRSCM is moved on the vehicle while the ignition is on. Therefore, first make sure the ignition is off, then remove the SRSCM from the vehicle.

Variant coding
After replacing the SRSCM unit with a new one, it is necessary to perform the "Variant Coding" procedure.
Note:
1. In the SRSCM variant coding mode, the airbag indicator lamp flashes (on for 0.5 sec, off for 0.5 sec) until coding is completed normally.
2. If the variant coding fails, fault code B1762 (SRSCM coding error) is displayed and the indicator lamp comes on.
In this case, perform variant coding again after confirming the DTC in the "DTC Fault State Information" window.
Variant coding can be performed up to 255 times. If this number is exceeded, the code B1683 (Maximum number of codings exceeded) is displayed and the SRSCM unit must be replaced.
3. If the battery voltage is below 9V, the fault code B1102 will be displayed. In this case, you must first charge the battery and only then proceed with variant coding.
Fault codes B1762 (SRSCM coding error) and B1102 (low battery voltage) may be displayed simultaneously.
