Order of execution
1. Remove the carburetor.
2. Fix the carburetor in a vise, the jaws of which are covered with soft material, while access to the fuel mixture adjustment screw should be open (MAS).
3. Drill a 2mm hole in the center hole for the fuel mixture adjusting screw (MAS), then ream the hole with a 3mm drill bit.
4. Insert a punch into the drilled hole and knock out the plug.
5. Install the carburetor to the engine.
6. Start the engine and warm it up to a coolant temperature of 80-95°C.
Adjustment conditions
Headlights, electric radiator fan and all electrical consumers must be off and the transmission must be in neutral.
7. Drive the car for 5 minutes at a speed of 48 km/h or for no more than 5 seconds, increase the crankshaft speed to 2000-3000 min-1.
8. Then let the engine idle for 2 minutes.
9. Adjust the CO content and idle speed by turning the idle speed adjustment screw (SAS-1) and a screw for adjusting the quality of the fuel mixture (MAS).
- CO content at idle speed: 2.0±0.25%
- Idle speed of 1.3L engine with manual transmission: 850±100 min-1
10. Install a plug that blocks access to the fuel mixture quality adjustment screw.
