Adjustment conditions
Headlights, electric radiator fan and all electrical consumers must be off and the transmission must be in neutral.
Order of execution
1. The engine must be warmed up to a coolant temperature of 80–95°C.
2. Increase the crankshaft speed to 2000–3000 min–1 for no more than 5 s.
3. Then let the engine idle for 2 minutes.
4. On the tachometer, determine the idle speed. If the RPM is out of specification, adjust it by turning the idle speed adjusting screw No. SAS-1.
Do not turn the SAS-2 screw, which determines the play between the throttle valve and the lever, and is finely adjusted at the time of manufacture of the vehicle. If this adjustment is not correct, throttle position adjustment and starter adjustment cannot be made accurately enough.
