Adjustment conditions
The headlights, electric radiator fan and all electrical consumers must be switched off and the transmission must be in neutral.
Execution order
1. The engine must be warmed up to a coolant temperature of 80–95°C.
2. Increase the crankshaft speed to 2000–3000 min⁻¹ for no more than 5 s.
3. Then let the engine idle for 2 minutes.
4. Use the tachometer to determine the idle speed. If the speed differs from the required value, adjust it by turning the idle speed adjusting screw No. SAS-1.
Do not turn the SAS-2 screw, which determines the clearance between the throttle valve and the lever, and is precisely adjusted during the production of the car. If this adjustment is disturbed, the throttle position adjustment and the adjustment of the starting device cannot be performed accurately enough.
