Verification conditions
The headlights, electric radiator fan and all electrical consumers must be switched off and the transmission must be in neutral.
Execution order
1. The engine must be warmed up to a coolant temperature of 80–95°C.
2. Start the engine and let it run at idle speed.
3. Check the ignition timing setting and adjust it if necessary.
4. Drive the car for 5 minutes at 48 km/h or increase the crankshaft speed to 2000–3000 min⁻¹ for no more than 5 seconds.
5. Then let the engine idle for 2 minutes.
6. Use the tachometer to determine the idle speed.
Idle speed of 1.3L engine with manual transmission: 850±100 min⁻¹ at ignition advance angle of 5±5°.
