Changing the fluid
Drain the fluid if there are any signs of contamination. Once the cause of contamination has been eliminated, fill with new fluid.
1. Remove the drain plug at the bottom of the differential to drain the fluid.

2. Place a large-mouth fluid collection container under the automatic transmission oil pan.
3. Loosen the crankcase mounting bolts and drain the fluid by tilting the pan, then remove the pan.
4. Check the oil filter for clogging and damage; replace it if necessary.
5. Clean the drain plug and tighten it (with gasket) torque of 30-35 Nm.
6. Clean both surfaces of the drive axle housing gasket and the oil pan.
7. Install the oil pan with a new gasket and tighten the oil pan bolts to 10-12 Nm.
8. Fill with 4 liters of recommended automatic transmission fluid. The total required amount of fluid is 6.0 l, however, during the change process, only approximately 4.5 l can be replaced because some fluid remains in the torque converter.
Check the fluid level again after the transmission is at normal operating temperature.
9. Start the engine and let it idle for at least 2 minutes. Then, with the parking brake on, slowly move the selector lever to each position and finally set it to the neutral position "N".
10. Add enough ATF fluid to bring the level to the lower mark. Recheck the fluid level after the transmission reaches normal operating temperature. The level should be between the upper and lower marks of the "HOT" (hot) range. Insert the level indicator completely.
