Positive Crankcase Ventilation System (PCV valve) (Hyundai Elantra J2)

The crankcase ventilation system must maintain efficient engine operation.

Periodic maintenance is required to remove combustion products from the PCV valve.

1. Disconnect the vent hose from the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve. Then remove the PCV valve from the valve cover and connect it to the vent hose.

2. With the engine idling, place your finger on the open end of the PCV valve to feel for intake manifold vacuum.
