Disassembling the front drive shaft (models with automatic transmission).
1 - retaining ring, 2 - outer race of inner joint, 3 - triple (inner) joint, 4 - inner joint boot, 5 - outer clamp of inner joint boot, 6 - inner clamp of inner joint boot, 7 - dust cover, 8 - outer joint assembly, 9 - outer joint boot, 10 - outer clamp of outer joint boot, 11 - inner clamp of outer joint boot, 12 - damper, 13 - damper clamp.
1. Remove the boot clamps and slide the inner hinge boot.
Caution: Be careful not to damage the case when removing.

2. Remove the snap ring and T-joint assembly from the drive shaft.
Note: Do not disassemble the triple joint.

3. Clean the triple joint.
4. Remove the boot clamps and slide the outer joint boot off. Remove the outer and inner joint protective boots from the shaft.
Caution: If the joint boot is to be reinstalled, wrap the splined portion of the shaft with insulating tape to prevent damage to the boot.
