Disassembling the intermediate drive shaft
1. Fix the intermediate shaft in a vice and, using a special tool, remove the bracket with the bearing from the shaft.

2. Using special tools, press the bearing out of the bracket and remove the dust boots.

Checking the intermediate drive shaft
1. Check the intermediate shaft for damage, bending and corrosion.
2. Make sure that the shaft splines are not damaged.
3. Check the bearing for scuffs, displacement of elements and significant surface roughness.
4. Make sure that the bearing tracks rotate uniformly.
5. Check the length of the intermediate drive shaft.
- Shaft length: 387.7 mm
Assembling the intermediate drive shaft
1. Apply grease to the mating surfaces of the bearing and bracket.

2. Using a special tool, press the bearing into the bracket.

3. Apply grease to the dust boots.
- Lubricant type: LIG-2 or Sunlight No.2
- Amount of grease:
- inner anther: 7-10 g
- outer anther: 4-6 g

4. Using special tools, install the dust boots into the bearing bracket.
5. Using a special tool, install the bracket with the bearing on the shaft.
