2. Put the hinge covers on the shaft and remove the insulating tape.
3. Fill the outer joint and outer joint boot with grease.
- Grease type: CENTOPLEX 278M/136K
- Amount of lubricant for the joint for models with engines of displacement:
- 2.0 L: 55±3 g
- 2.4L: 60±3g
- 2.7 l: 70±3 g
- The amount of lubricant for the boot for models with engines of displacement:
- 2.0 L: 55±3 g
- 2.4 L: 55±3 g
- 2.7L: 65±3g
4. Fill the inner joint and inner joint boot with grease.
- Grease type: AMBLYGON TA 10/2A
- Amount of lubricant for the joint for models with engines of displacement:
- 2.0L, 2.4L: 60±3g
- 2.7L: 65±3g
- Lubricant quantity for cover: 40±3g
5. Install the inner race of the inner joint assembly with the separator and balls and fix with a retaining ring.
Internal hinge.
1 - retaining ring, 2 - ball, 3 - shaft, 4 - inner race, 5 - separator, 6 - grease.
6. Install the outer race of the inner joint on the shaft and fix with a retaining ring.
7. Install the outer hinge boot and boot clamps.
8. Install the inner hinge boot and, after checking that the length of the shaft matches the specifications to ensure the necessary air volume inside the boot, tighten the collars of both boots.
Length "A" left shaft for models with engines displacement:
- 2.0L, 2.4L: 624.5±2mm
- 2.7 l: 520.2±2 mm
Length "A" right shaft for models with engines displacement:
- 2.0L, 2.4L: 937.5±2mm
- 2.7 l: 539.2±2 mm
