1. Wrap the splined portion of the shaft with insulating tape to prevent damage to the boots.

2. Place the hinge covers on the shaft and remove the insulating tape.

3. Fill the outer joint and outer joint boot with grease.
  • Lubricant type: CENTOPLEX 278M/136K
  • Amount of grease for the joint for models with engines with a working volume of:
    • 2.0 l: 55±3 g
    • 2.4 l: 60±3 g
    • 2.7 l: 70±3 g
  • Amount of grease for the cover for models with engines with a working volume of:
    • 2.0 l: 55±3 g
    • 2.4 l: 55±3 g
    • 2.7 l: 65±3 g

4. Fill the inner joint and inner joint boot with grease.
  • Lubricant type: AMBLYGON TA 10/2A
  • Amount of grease for the joint for models with engines with a working volume of:
    • 2.0L, 2.4L: 60±3 g
    • 2.7L: 65±3 g
  • Amount of grease for cover: 40±3 g

5. Install the inner race of the inner joint complete with the separator and balls and secure with the retaining ring.

6. Install the outer race of the inner joint on the shaft and secure it with a retaining ring.

7. Install the outer hinge boot and boot clamps.



8. Install the inner joint boot and, after checking that the shaft length matches the technical data to ensure the required air volume inside the boot, tighten the clamps of both boots.

Length "A" of the left shaft for models with engines with a working volume of:
  • 2.0 l, 2.4 l: 624.5±2 mm

2.0 l, 2.4 l: 624.5±2 mm

  • 2.7 l: 520.2±2 mm

  • 2.0 l, 2.4 l: 937.5±2 mm
