1. Remove the drain plug and drain the transmission fluid.
2. Disconnect and remove the air filter.
3. Release the mounting clips and disconnect the return and supply hoses.
Note. To prevent the ingress of dust and foreign objects, plug the disconnected hoses and fittings of the gearbox in the block with the bridge.
4. Remove the control cable.
5. Remove the speedometer flexible shaft.
6. Disconnect the connectors for the pulse generators, transmission switch, downshift servo switch, solenoid valve, and oil temperature sensor.
7. Turn away bolts of its fastening to the engine located in the top part of knot of transmission.
8. Remove an arm of fastening of a transmission.
9. Supporting the lower part of the gearbox with a jack, unscrew the bolts securing the center crosshead.
10. Remove the cone housing cover.
11. Turn out three special bolts connecting the hydrotransformer and a driving disk.
Note. To remove the special torque converter bolts, turn the engine crankshaft with a socket wrench to set one of the bolts to a position that is easy to remove. After removing one bolt in the manner described above, rotate the crankshaft and remove all remaining bolts one by one.
Set the gearshift lever to the position "N" (Neutral).
12. After removing the special bolts, reinstall the center crosshead.
13. Remove the lower arm ball joint.
14. Supporting a transmission with a jack, turn out the remained bolts connecting a transmission with the engine.
