10. Remove the screws, press the button up, then press it down and remove the selector lever handle button.

Examination

Check the operation of the transmission control cable and the absence of damage.

Check the bushing for wear or damage.

Check the spring for damage and loss of elasticity.

Check the pin at the end of the selector lever rod for wear.
