Fill with fresh liquid after eliminating the causes of contamination.
1. Remove the drain plug under the differential to allow fluid to drain.
2. Place a container under the transmission oil pan.
3. Unscrew the oil pan bolts and tilt it to allow the fluid to drain, then remove the pan.
4. Check the oil filter for damage and clogging and replace it if necessary.
5. Clean the drain plug and tighten it to a torque of 30-35 Nm.
6. Clean the surfaces of the housing and oil pan facing the gasket.
7. Install the oil pan with a new gasket and tighten it with bolts to a tightening torque of 10-12 Nm.
8. Pour 4 liters of automatic transmission fluid into the housing through the dipstick hole (the total required amount of fluid is approximately * 5.8 liters. In reality, however, approximately 4.5 liters may be replaced since fluid remains in the torque converter).
* For vehicles equipped with twin camshaft engines: 6.1 L.
Check the fluid level after normal operating temperature has been established.
9. Start the engine and let it idle for at least two minutes. Then, with the handbrake on, quickly move the selector through all positions, ending with the neutral position "N".

10. Add enough liquid to bring the level to the bottom mark.
Recheck the fluid level after normal operating temperature has been established. The fluid level should be between the upper and lower marks of the "HOT" (hot) range. Insert the dipstick completely to prevent dirt from entering the unit.
