Steering drive (Hyundai Sonata Y3)

1. Check the steering wheel play.

The maximum play of the steering wheel should not exceed 30 mm.

2. Check the serviceability and adjustment of the steering drive as follows.

• 1) Is there excessive play in the steering rods?.
• 2) Check the condition of the dust cover.
• 3) Check the strength of the cover clamps.
