2. Remove the dust cover from the ball joint.
3. Remove the bellows clamp.
4. Remove the bellows clip.
5. Remove the cover towards the steering rod.
6. Remove the feed pipe from the gear housing.
7. Slowly moving the rack, drain the fluid from the steering gear housing.
8. Remove the end cap.
9. Turn the gear clockwise until the rack locks, remove the self-locking nut.
10. Using a chisel, release the flap washer between the tie rod and rack.
11. Carefully remove the tie rod from the rack.
12. Remove the support plug jam nut.
13. With a special tool (09565-21100) remove the support cap.
14. Remove the rack support spring, support and bushing from the steering gear housing.
15. After loosening the two bolts, remove the valve box.
16. Turn the rack stopper clockwise until the end of the retaining ring comes out of the groove in the steering gear.
17. When the end of the retaining ring is out of the slotted hole in the rack cylinder, turn the stopper counterclockwise and remove the retaining ring.
18. Remove the rack stop, rack bushing, and rack from the steering gear case by sliding it toward the gear side.
Note. With the rack removed, replace the crankcase side oil seal.
19. Remove the o-ring from the rack bushing, oil ring, and then use a soft-head hammer to remove the valve body from the valve box.
20. Using a special tool (09565-21000) remove the oil seal and ball bearing from the valve box.
21. Using a special tool (09517-21400) Remove the ball bearing from the steering box.
22. Using a special tool (09517-21400) Remove the needle bearing from the steering box.
23. Using a special tool (09573-21200,09555-21000) remove the rear washer and oil seal from the steering box.
