Tightening torques: Nm (kgf cm, lb ft)
Withdrawal
1. Remove the pressure hose from the oil pump.
2: Disconnect the oil drain tube from the connector and drain the fluid.
3. To remove the V-belt, loosen the oil pump mounting bolts.
4. Disconnect the oil outlet pipe from the oil pump.
5. Remove the oil pump bracket mounting bolts and disconnect the pressure switch connector.
6. Remove the oil pump.
Disassembly
1. Remove the oil drain pipe and O-ring from the oil pump.
2. Remove the rear cover with gasket and cotter pins.
3. Remove the cam washer.
4. Remove the rotor and blades.
5. Remove the front plate.
6. Remove the inner and outer o-rings.
7. Remove the spring.
Note. Install new gasket and O-ring when reassembling.
8. Remove the pulley nut with spring washer.
9. Remove pulley and slotted key.
10. Using special pincers, remove a spring lock ring.
11. Remove the pulley shaft from the bearing. If necessary, you can use a hammer with a plastic head.
12.: Remove the oil seal from the oil pump housing.
Note. Install a new oil seal when assembling.
13. Remove guide bracket and nut.
14. Remove the connector from the oil pump housing and remove the valve and spring.
15. Remove the O-ring from the connector.
Warning. Do not disassemble the valve.
Examination
1. Use a suitable solvent to clean all disassembled parts.
2. If any internal parts of the pump are found to be damaged, the pump assembly must be replaced.
3. If cracks are found on the pulley or the pulley is deformed, it must be replaced.
4. If oil is leaking from the pulley shaft oil seal, replace the oil seal.
5. If the pulley or pulley shaft splines are deformed or worn, replace.
Assembly
1. Install the oil pump switch.
2. Install the valve spring and valve into the pump housing.
Note. Apply a light coat of automatic transmission fluid to all new parts, including the oil seal and O-ring.
3. Install guide bracket and nut.
4. With a special tool (09222-32100) install the oil seal in the pump housing.
5. Insert the shaft and install the circlip.
6. Install the pump pulley with slotted key.
7. Install spring and inner and outer o-rings.
8. Install the front plate.
9. Insert the cotter pins into the cotter pin grooves on the front of the housing, then install the cam washer, paying attention to the installation direction.
10. Install the rotor with the punched side towards the front plate.
11. Install the blade with the rounded end facing out.
12. Install gasket and back cover.
13. Tighten the oil drain tube connector.
Installation
1. Install the oil pump to the oil pump bracket.
2. Install the oil drain pipe.
3. Install the V-belt and adjust its tension.
4. Connect the pressure hose to the oil pump and the oil drain pipe to the oil reservoir.
Note. The hose and tube must be installed in such a way that they are not twisted or come into contact with other parts.
5. Fill the system with automatic transmission fluid.
6. Remove air.
7. Check oil pump pressure.
8. Install the parts by tightening them to the required torque.
