Checking the pressure limiting function.
1. Connect two pressure gauges, one on the inlet side and one on the outlet side of the pressure regulator.
Warning! After connecting the pressure gauges, bleed the air from the brake system.
2. Depress the brake pedal and measure the inlet and outlet pressures. If the pressures are within the allowable amplitudes as shown in the figure, the pressure regulator is OK.
3. Remove the pressure gauges and connect the brake pipes in the original position and bleed the air from the brake system.
Pressure regulator installation
1. Connect brake lines.
2. Tighten the tube union nuts and bleed the air from the brake system.
- Tightening torque for connecting nuts: 13–17 Nm
- Tightening torque of the pressure regulator mounting nuts: 8–12 Nm
