Rear brake pressure regulator (Hyundai Santa Fe CM)

0
Contents: Checking functionality ⇓ Installing the rear brake pressure…⇓
The rear brake pressure regulator distributes the correct brake fluid pressure to the front and rear brake circuits to achieve high braking efficiency and prevent rear wheel lockup and skidding. The rear brake pressure regulator cannot be disassembled, as its performance is highly dependent on the tension of the spring installed in it.

Checking functionality

Remove the rear brake pressure regulator from the master cylinder.

To perform the test, you will need two pressure gauges. Connect the first pressure gauge to the inlet fitting of the regulator, and the second pressure gauge to the outlet fitting of the regulator.

The original version is stored on the website HyundaiBook.ru

Note: After installing the pressure gauges, bleed the brake system.

Press the brake pedal and measure the current pressure at the input and output of the proportional valve. If the pressure value corresponds to that shown in Figure 6.20, then the valve is in good condition.

Reconnect the brake pipes and bleed the brake system.

Install the brake master cylinder as shown in Figure 6.21.

Tighten the brake pipe mounting nuts and bleed the brake system.

Tightening torque of brake pipe nut: 13–17 N·m, proportional valve nut: 35–55 N·m.
