Checking functionality
Remove the rear brake pressure regulator from the master cylinder.
To perform the test, you will need two pressure gauges. Connect the first pressure gauge to the inlet fitting of the regulator, and the second pressure gauge to the outlet fitting of the regulator.

Note: After installing the pressure gauges, bleed the brake system.
Press the brake pedal and measure the current pressure at the input and output of the proportional valve. If the pressure value corresponds to that shown in Figure 6.20, then the valve is in good condition.
Reconnect the brake pipes and bleed the brake system.
Fig. 6.20. Characteristics of a proportional valve
Note: The characteristic of the proportional valve is given for the case of increasing pressure (Fig. 6.20).
Installing the rear brake pressure regulator
Fig. 6.21. Master brake cylinder
Install the brake master cylinder as shown in Figure 6.21.
Tighten the brake pipe mounting nuts and bleed the brake system.
Tightening torque of brake pipe nut: 13–17 N·m, proportional valve nut: 35–55 N·m.
