Examination
1. Remove the pressure regulator from the brake master cylinder.
2. Connect two pressure gauges, one on the inlet side and one on the outlet side of the pressure regulator.
Note. After connecting the pressure gauges, bleed the air from the brake system.
3. Depress the brake pedal and measure the inlet and outlet pressures. If the pressures are within the allowable amplitudes as shown in the figure, the pressure regulator is OK.
Note. The graph shows the characteristics of the pressure regulator.
Tightening torque for connecting nuts: 13–17 Nm
Tightening torque of the pressure regulator mounting nuts: 35–55 Nm
