Removal
1. Remove the lower guide pin mounting bolt, lift the caliper up and secure it with wire.
2. Remove the brake pads.

Examination
1. Check the brake pads for wear or oil contamination and replace them if necessary.
Attention!
- Always replace all pads on one axle of the vehicle, even if only one pad is worn. If brake pads are to be reinstalled, they must be marked before removal.
- When replacing brake pads, check the pads for deformation. The guide pin retaining springs can be replaced with new ones or reusable springs can be installed after removing any dirt from them.
2. Check the brake shoe linings for damage.
Brake pad lining thickness:
- Nominal: 9 mm
- Minimum wear tolerance: 1.0 mm

Installation
1. Install the brake shoe retaining springs.
2. Install the brake shoes into the retaining springs.
