Master brake cylinder: 1 - a stopper of a reservoir of hydraulic drives of brakes and clutch; 2 - filter; 3 - reservoir of hydraulic brakes and clutch; 4 - sealing gasket; 5 - piston of the front cavity of the main brake cylinder; b - piston of the rear cavity of the main brake cylinder; 7 - spring; 8 - main brake cylinder; 9 - tank fastening screw; 10 - cylindrical pin (on vehicles equipped with ABS)
3. Disconnect the brake system pipes from the master brake cylinder and close the opened holes with suitable plugs.
Attention!
- When removing the brake master cylinder, be careful not to kink or damage the brake pipes.
- To prevent leakage of brake fluid, wrap the hose connections with rags or napkins.
4. Turn away nuts and remove the main brake cylinder.
Note. Do not disassemble the primary and secondary pistons.
Examination
1. Check the inner surface of the brake master cylinder housing for rust and wear.
2. Check the brake master cylinder for wear or damage. Clean or replace the brake master cylinder as needed.
Note.
- 1) If the master cylinder housing bore is damaged, replace the brake master cylinder assembly.
- 2) Clean the brake master cylinder body with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt.
Assembly
1. Lubricate the inner surface of the master cylinder and the outer surfaces of the primary and secondary pistons with the recommended brake fluid.
6. With force insert a tank into sealing rings of the main brake cylinder.
Installation
1. Establish the main brake cylinder on the vacuum amplifier of brakes.
2. Connect brake pipes to the main brake cylinder.
Attention! Check the brake pipes for kinks and twists.
3. Fill in the brake fluid and bleed the hydraulic circuit of the brake system.
