Replacing the working brake cylinder (Hyundai Getz 1)

1. Remove the brake pads.

2. Disconnect the brake pipe.

3. Unscrew the bolts and remove the wheel cylinder.

7. Before assembling the working brake cylinder, check the condition of the following parts:
  • cylinder and piston for wear, damage and rust;
  • the body of the working brake cylinder for damage and cracks;
  • contact surface of piston and brake pads for wear;
  • elasticity of the piston spring.

8. Assembly is carried out in the reverse order of disassembly.

Note.
  • 1) Before assembly, clean the wheel cylinder with isopropyl alcohol.
  • 2) Before assembly, lubricate the piston seals and cylinder with brake fluid.
  • 3) When assembling, it is necessary to use new cuffs and dust covers.


Caution: Be careful not to lose the steel ball of the bleed nipple.
