Checking Transmission Fluid Pressure (F4A42) (Hyundai Elantra XD)

0
A transmission fluid pressure test is performed to determine the condition of the hydraulic components and whether there are any leaks.

Procedure

1. Start the engine until the gearbox warms up to a temperature of 80–100°C.

2. Raise the front of the vehicle so that the drive wheels can turn freely.

3. Connect a special pressure gauge with an adapter to each pressure test…

3. Connect a special pressure gauge with an adapter to each pressure test nipple.

4. Measure the transmission fluid pressure at various selector lever positions…

4. Measure the transmission fluid pressure at various selector lever positions and engine speeds shown in the table.

5. If the pressure does not correspond to the required values, check and repair…

5. If the pressure does not correspond to the required values, check and repair the gearbox components.
