Tightening torque, Nm
Disassembly
1. Remove the piston retaining ring.
2. Pull out the rod with the piston assembly.
3. Remove the clamp from the tank, the tank lid and the tank.
Note:
- 1) Do not damage the master cylinder body and piston.
- 2) Do not disassemble the piston.
Examination
1. Check for rust and scoring on the inner surface of the cylinder.
2. Check the piston for wear and deformation.
3. Check the piston and rod for rust and scoring.
4. Check the hydraulic line for blockage.
5. Measure the internal diameter of the master cylinder with an indicator and the piston diameter with a micrometer.
Note: The measurement of the internal diameter of the master cylinder should be carried out in three sections (at the bottom, in the middle and at the top) in two perpendicular directions.
6. If the clearance between the cylinder and piston exceeds the limit, replace the master cylinder and/or piston assembly.

Limit - 0.15 mm.
Assembly
1. Apply the specified fluid to the inner surface of the cylinder and the outer surface of the piston assembly.

The fluid specification is DOT 3 brake fluid.
2. Install the piston assembly.
3. Install the rod.
4. Install the reservoir on the master cylinder body.
