Checking the tension of the power steering belt (Hyundai Accent X3)

1. With a force of 98 N, press on the V-belt at the point indicated by the arrow and measure the deflection, comparing it with the standard value.

• Belt deflection (standard value) - 7-10 mm

2. To adjust the belt tension, loosen the oil pump mounting bolts, move it, and then tighten the bolts.

Warning: Before rechecking the belt deflection, run the engine for a few seconds.
