Note: This test is necessary to assess the condition of the wiring from the generator terminal "B" to the positive terminal of the battery.
1. Turn off the ignition (key position "OFF").
2. Disconnect the wire from the generator terminal "B". Connect the ammeter "+" wire to the generator terminal "B" and the "-" wire to the disconnected generator wire.
Connect the "+" wire of the voltmeter to the "B" terminal of the generator, and the "-" wire to the positive terminal of the battery.
3. Start the engine.
4. Turn on the headlights and heater fan. Increase engine speed until the ammeter shows 20 A.

5. Read the voltmeter readings. Nominal value: less than 0.2 V. If the measured voltage is greater than the nominal value, check the condition of the wire between the generator terminal "B" and the battery "+".
6. After completing the check, let the engine idle and then turn off the consumers.
