2.0L petrol engine
1. Disconnect the high voltage wires shown in the figure.
Note: Disconnect high-tension wires from spark plugs by the tip.
2. Using a spark plug wrench, unscrew the spark plugs.

3. Check the spark plugs for damage to the electrode, thread, seal, and housing. If any defects are found, replace the spark plug.

4. Using a feeler gauge, check the gap between the spark plug electrodes. The gap should be 1.0-1.1 mm.

2.7L petrol engine
1. Remove the engine protective cover.
2. Disconnect the necessary engine management system cables.
3. Disconnect the throttle control cable.
4. Remove the intake manifold.
5. Disconnect the high voltage wires.

6. Using a spark plug wrench, unscrew the spark plugs.
7. Check the spark plugs for damage to the electrode, thread, seal, and housing. If any defects are found, replace the spark plug.
8. Using a feeler gauge, check the gap between the spark plug electrodes. The gap should be 1.0-1.1 mm for a cold spark plug, 0.7-0.8 for a hot spark plug.
9. Check the condition of the insulation A and tips B of the high-voltage wires for damage; if any is found, replace.
10. Check the resistance of the wires by connecting the device to the tips. The resistance should not exceed 10 kOhm per meter of cable, otherwise replace the wire.
