Ignition coil (Hyundai Tucson JM)

1. Measure the resistance of the primary coil. Measure between the coil terminals: 1 and 2, 1 and 3 (2.0 l engine), 1 and 4, 2 and 4, 3 and 4 (2.7 l engine). The normal resistance value is 0.58±10% Ohm (2.0 l engine), 0.74±10% Ohm (2.7 l engine).



2. Measure the resistance of the secondary winding. Measure between the high voltage terminal: for the 1st and 4th, 2nd and 3rd cylinders (2.0 l engine), for the 3rd and 6th cylinders, 2nd and 5th, 1st and 4th. The normal resistance value is 8.8±15% kOhm (2.0 l engine), 13.3±15% kOhm (2.7 l engine).
