1. Left drive shaft (automatic transmission)
2. Left drive shaft (manual transmission)
3. Retaining ring
4. Gearbox
5. Retaining ring
6. Right drive shaft
Removal
1. Raise the vehicle and remove the relevant wheel. Tightening torque of the nuts: 90-110 Nm
2. Unscrew the drain plug and drain the transmission oil. Tightening torque: 35-45 Nm.

3. Remove the cotter pin (1), unscrew the nut (2) and remove the washer (3). Tightening torque: 200-260 Nm.
4. Using a puller, disconnect the steering rod end (4) from the steering knuckle.

5. Loosen the screws and remove the wheel speed sensor (5) from the steering knuckle (6).

6. Loosen the screws (7) of the ball joint. Tightening torque: 100-120 Nm.

7. Using a plastic hammer (8), separate the drive shaft (9) from the hub (10).

8. Move the steering knuckle outward and remove the outer joint of the drive shaft from the hub.
9. Using a pry bar (11), remove the inner joint (12) of the drive shaft from the final drive housing (13).

Examination
10. Check the drive shaft splines, joints and hub for deformation.
Installation
11. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Note: Before installing the drive shaft, apply transmission oil to the splines (14) and the working surface of the oil seal (15).
