Removal and installation the gear shift lever (Hyundai Accent MC)

Removal

1. Remove the floor console.

2. Remove the cotter pin (1) from the gear selector cable.



3. Remove the gear shift cable bracket (2).





4. Remove the gear shift cables (3) and gear selection cables (4). Remove the gear shift lever (5) with the bracket. Tightening torque of the screws: 9-14 Nm.



5. Unscrew the nuts (6) and remove the cable holder (7).



6. Remove the cotter pins and remove the gear shift cables.

Installation

7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Note: Before installing the center console, adjust the length of the gear selector cable with the adjuster (8) with the gear shift lever in neutral.
