Removal
1. Remove the center console.
2. Remove the cotter pin (B) and disconnect the retainer (A) from the gear selector cable assembly.

3. Remove the retainer (A) from the shift cable assembly.

4. Remove the gear shift lever assembly (A).
Note: Tightening torque: 8.8-13.7 Nm

5. Unscrew the nuts (B) and remove the holder (A).
Note: Tightening torque: 7.8 - 11.8 Nm.

6. Remove the gear selector and shift cable assembly from the transmission.

Checking the technical condition
1. Check the gear selection cable for proper operation and damage.
2. Check the functionality of the gear shift cable and its absence of damage.
3. Check the anthers for damage.
4. Inspect the anthers for adherence of abrasive wear particles, restricted movement and damage.
5. Check the spring for loose tension and wear.
Installation
1. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
2. Move the sliding lock (B) of the guide member (A) in the direction shown in the figure.
Note: Adjust the position of the sliding lock on the gear shift lever by moving the lock in direction (C).

3. Install the guide element (A) onto the gear shift cable (B).

4. Install the sliding retainer (B) onto the shift lever pin (A), then install the stud (C).
Note: Install the sliding lock as shown in the figure.
