Removal and installation
1. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Raise the car on a lift.
3. Remove the front muffler.
4. Loosen the four mounting bolts and disconnect the propeller shaft.
Note: Tightening torque: 49.0 - 68.6 Nm.

5. Disconnect the right drive shaft from the transfer case (passenger side).
6. Loosen the bolts (A, B) and remove the rear roller stop.
Note: Tightening torque:
- (A) 107.9- 127.5 Nm.
- (B) 49.0 - 63.7 Nm.

7. Remove the 4 upper (A) and 1 lower (B) transfer case mounting bolts.
Note: Tightening torque: (A, B) 60.8 - 65.7 Nm.

8. Support the transfer case with a jack and remove it with the lever.
9. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Note:
When installing:
1. Be careful not to damage the sealing ring (A). If damaged, replace the sealing ring (A) with a new one.
2. Lubricate the splines (B) with molybdenum grease.
