In case of a puncture of a tire while the vehicle is moving:
1. Take your foot off the accelerator and slow down when driving in a straight line. Do not immediately press the brake pedal or try to pull off the road, as this may cause you to lose control of the car. When the car slows down to a safe speed, gently brake and pull off the road. Move as far away from the road as possible and stop the car on a flat, hard surface. If you are on a highway, do not stop between oncoming traffic lanes.
2. After stopping the vehicle, turn on the hazard warning lights, apply the parking brake and move the selector lever to the "P" ("Park") position (automatic transmission) or the gearshift lever to the reverse position (manual transmission).
3. Ask all passengers to exit the car. It is advisable that they exit the car from the side opposite the road.
4. Replace the wheel following the instructions on subsequent pages.
