1 - Towing hook |
In the event of emergency towing where a tow truck is not available, attach a tow rope or target to one of the tow hooks at the lower front of your vehicle. Do not attempt to tow your vehicle in this manner on unpaved roads. This can cause serious damage to your vehicle.
Also, towing in this way should not be used in case of damage to the wheels, chassis, axles, steering parts or brake system. Before towing, make sure the transmission is in neutral and the ignition key is in the "ACC" ("Optional equipment") (when the engine is not running) or in position "ON" ("On") (when the engine is running). When towing, the driver must be in the vehicle to control it.
1. Open the tow hook cover by pressing it with your finger.
2. To install the tow hook, rotate it clockwise.
Attention: The towing hook must be tightly tightened until the gap in the hole in the towing hook disappears. The towing hook is located in the jack on the spare wheel.
3. Attach a tow rope, chain or strap to one of the tow hooks on the lower front of your vehicle.
Attention:
- If the vehicle is towed with all wheels on the road, it must be towed at the front. At the same time, make sure that the transmission is in neutral gear. Do not exceed the speed of 50 km/h and do not tow the vehicle for more than 25 km.
- Make sure the steering wheel is unlocked before towing (ignition key in position "ACC" ("Optional equipment")). When towing, the driver must be in the vehicle to control it.
