1 - Towing hook |
![]() |
In the event of an emergency towing, when a tow truck is not available, attach the towing cable or target to one of the towing hooks on the lower front of your vehicle. Do not attempt to tow your vehicle this way on unpaved roads. This may result in serious damage to your vehicle.
Also, towing by this method should not be used in case of damage to the wheels, chassis, axles, steering components or brake system. Before towing, make sure that the gearbox is in neutral and the ignition key is in the "ACC" ("Accessory") position (when the engine is not running) or in the "ON" ("On") position (when the engine is running). When towing, the driver must be in the vehicle to control it.
1. Open the tow hook cover by pressing it with your finger.
2. To install the towing hook, rotate it clockwise.
Caution: The towing hook must be tightened firmly until there is no gap in the towing hook hole. The towing hook is located in the jack boot on the spare tire.
3. Attach a towing rope, chain or strap to one of the towing hooks on the lower front of your vehicle.
Attention:
- If the vehicle is towed with all wheels on the road, it must be towed by the front. Make sure that the gearbox is in neutral. Do not exceed 50 km/h and do not tow the vehicle for more than 25 km.
- Before towing, make sure the steering wheel is unlocked (ignition key in the "ACC" ("Accessories") position). When towing, the driver must be in the vehicle to control it.
