Warning! Before towing, check the fluid level in the automatic transmission. If it is below the mark "NOT" ("Hot") on the dipstick, add fluid. If you cannot add fluid, you must use a towing cart.
In the event of an emergency towing operation where a tow truck is not available, attach the tow rope to one of the tow hooks at the lower front of the vehicle. Do not attempt to tow your vehicle in this manner on an unpaved road. This can cause serious damage to the vehicle. Towing in this way should not be used in case of damage to the wheels, chassis, axles, steering parts or brake system. Before towing, make sure the transmission is in neutral and the ignition key is in the "ACC" ("Optional equipment") (when the engine is not running) or in position "ON" ("On") (when the engine is running). When towing, the driver must be in the vehicle to control it.
