Warning! Before towing, check the automatic transmission fluid level. If it is below the "HOT" (Hot) mark on the dipstick, add fluid. If you cannot add fluid, you must use a towing dolly.
In the event of emergency towing, when a tow truck is not available, attach the towing cable to one of the towing hooks on the lower front of the vehicle. Do not attempt to tow the vehicle in this manner on unpaved roads. This may result in serious damage to the vehicle. Towing in this manner should not be used if there is damage to the wheels, chassis, axles, steering components or brake system. Before towing, make sure the transmission is in neutral and the ignition key is in the ACC position (when the engine is not running) or in the ON position (when the engine is running). The driver must be in the vehicle to control it when towing.
