Tension check
Note: under «old belt» means a belt that has been on the engine for more than 5 minutes.
1. Apply a force of 98 N (10 kg) on the outside of the belt at the indicated point and measure its deflection. Rated value: 7-10 mm.
Tension adjustment
2. Loosen the adjusting screw (A).
3. Insert a suitable rod between the bracket and the pump housing and adjust the belt tension so that its deflection is within the specified range.
4. Tighten the adjusting screw. Tightening torque: 25-33 Nm.
5. Recheck belt deflection and adjust if necessary.
Attention: if the belt has been rotated in the direction of rotation more than once, check the belt tension again.
Replacement
6. Remove the alternator drive belt.
7. Fully loosen the adjusting screw and remove the power steering pump drive belt
