Checking the tension
Note: An "old belt" is one that has been running on the engine for more than 5 minutes.
1. Apply a force of 98 N (10 kg) to the outside of the belt at the specified point and measure its deflection. Nominal value: 7-10 mm.

Tension adjustment
2. Loosen the adjusting screw (A).
3. Insert a suitable rod between the bracket and the pump body and adjust the belt tension so that its deflection matches the specified range.

4. Tighten the adjusting screw. Tightening torque: 25-33 Nm.
5. Recheck the belt deflection and adjust it if necessary.
Caution: If the belt has been rotated in the direction of rotation more than once, check the belt tension again.
Replacement
6. Remove the generator drive belt.
7. Completely loosen the adjusting screw and remove the power steering pump drive belt
