Starting and stopping an engine with a turbocharger and air cooler (Hyundai Elantra XD)

1) Immediately after starting the engine, do not allow the engine to run at high speed or to increase the speed sharply. After starting the engine, allow it to idle for a few seconds before driving to ensure adequate lubrication of the turbocharger.

2) After driving at high speed or driving for a long time under heavy engine load, let the engine run for about 1 minute to cool the turbocharger before stopping.

Warning: Do not stop the engine immediately after it has been running under heavy load. This may cause serious damage to the engine or turbocharger.
