1. Walk around the vehicle to check for flat tires and to make sure there are no leaks of oil, coolant, or other signs of possible problems.
2. Once in the vehicle, make sure the parking brake is on.
3. Make sure the windows and outdoor lighting are clean.
4. Check up cleanliness and correctness of adjustment of internal and external rear-view mirrors.
5. Check that the driver's seat, seatback and headrest are properly adjusted.
6. Lock all doors.
7. Fasten your seat belt and make sure all passengers are wearing their seat belts.
8. Turn off all unnecessary lights and accessories.
9. When you set the key in the ignition to the position «ON» («Ignition») make sure that all the necessary warning lamps come on and that there is enough fuel.
10. When position «ON» ignition key, check the correct operation of all control lamps and lighting lamps.
Warning (diesel engine car): Before driving after starting a cold engine in cold weather, let the engine idle for a few seconds to create sufficient vacuum in the brake booster.
