First 2000 km (gasoline powered vehicles)
There are no special requirements for running in a new car. However, you can improve the economy and durability of your Hyundai by following these guidelines during your first 2,000 km of driving:
- Do not exceed the speed limit of 88 km/h.
- While driving, keep the engine speed between 2000-4000 rpm.
- Avoid sudden acceleration. Do not move away with the accelerator pedal pressed all the way down.
- Do not brake hard for the first 300 km.
- Do not overload the motor, i.e. do not drive slowly in one of the higher gears, but shift to a lower gear in time before the engine starts to run rough.
- Change your speed from time to time, both at fast and slow speeds.
- Do not let the engine idle for more than 3 minutes.
- Do not tow a trailer for the first 2000 km.
First 1000 km (diesel engine vehicles)
There are no special requirements for running in a new car. However, you can improve the economy and durability of your Hyundai by following these guidelines during your first 2,000 km of driving:
- While driving, keep the engine speed below 3000 rpm.
- The speed of movement should not exceed three quarters of its maximum value.
- Avoid sudden acceleration. Do not move away from the place when the pedal of management of giving of fuel is pressed against the stop.
- Do not brake hard for the first 300 km.
- Do not overload the motor, i.e. do not drive slowly in one of the higher gears, shift to a lower gear in time before the engine starts to work intermittently.
- Change your speed from time to time, both at fast and slow speeds.
- Do not let the engine idle for more than 3 minutes.
- Do not tow a trailer for the first 1000 km.
