First 2000 km of mileage (cars with petrol engine)
There are no special requirements for running in a new car. However, you can improve the efficiency and durability of your Hyundai by following these recommendations during the first 2,000 km of the car's run:
- Do not exceed the speed limit of 88 km/h.
- While driving, maintain the crankshaft speed within 2000-4000 rpm.
- Avoid sudden acceleration. Do not start moving with the accelerator pedal pressed all the way down.
- Do not brake abruptly during the first 300 km of travel.
- Do not overload the engine, i.e. do not allow slow driving in one of the higher gears, but shift to a lower gear in a timely manner before the engine starts to run intermittently.
- Change your speed from time to time, whether you're driving fast or driving slowly.
- Do not allow the engine to idle for more than 3 minutes.
- Do not tow a trailer for the first 2,000 km.
